My name is Jenny, and I am 15 years old. I have been learning Guzheng since the second grade, and it has been six years now. Guzheng not only exposed me to traditional Chinese culture, but also cultivated my patience and perseverance. I have performed on various occasions, and the most impressive one is the two performances in the Calgary Fireworks Festival. This is not only an opportunity to show my talents, but also let me feel the interaction and resonance between the audience.
In addition, I also actively participate in community activities, especially performing in local nursing homes. These performances not only bring joy to the elderly, but also let me learn to communicate with others through music and feel the importance of conveying warmth.
This year, I was also very honored to participate in the commemorative performance of the 100th anniversary of the Chinese Exclusion Act in Canada. Through this performance, I have a deeper understanding of Chinese history and cherish the hard-won life now.
